Posies!

This the second half of yesterday's comic.

I don't really like this one, or yesterdays comic very much. It's really a kind of experiment.

I usually use a 'uniball' pen (no particular reason, It was just there when I needed a pen), but today I found an old fountain pen, so I thought I'd have a go with that. It doesn't really look much different once it's scanned in and everything, but on paper it's a lot snazzier (for lack of a better word). I also jacked up the contrast some more, just to see what it looks like.

The characters I draw all exist in real life (even the shopkeeper) so I don't have to think hard when it comes to giving them characteristics. Paul really does make too many origami birds for it to be normal, and Emma really does draw flowers on other peoples homework.

I'm too lazy to create some characters from scratch, so I'm hoping that if I can nail the true personalities of the people I know it'll be like the equivalent of taking 'Comic writing 101'.
